Grommets should be used to protect the cables that pass between the motor within the pocket to the wiring outside of the pocket. Grommets should be inserted in the ceiling or vertical wall of the pocket, 1" on center from the top or wall of pocket and 8" in from the bracket.

Window Modes allows their dealers to purchase pocket CUT TO SIZE, ONE LENGTH (12 feet), or TWO FULL LENGTHS (24 feet). If you have purchased from Blindspace directly in the past, please note that the two full length pricing matches Blindspace retail pricing. Other options have surcharges added to their dealer price. 

The roll-up diameter and the hardware of your roller shade (including tube, fabric, brackets) will determine what will fit within an S-Series pocket. Consult with your roller shade fabricator if unsure. When ordering roller shades with Window Modes, we will ensure you receive the correct pocket size for your roller shades.

SS stands for Skim coat - Skim Coat. It means there are TWO skim coat flanges on the pocket to help secure it to the ceiling blocking. Each Skim Coat Flange is 25mm or approximately 1".

NS stands for No Flange - Skim Coat. It means there is ONE skim coat flange on the pocket. 

NN means there are NO flanges on the pocket. 

This will depend on your application and the space you have in the ceiling or between products. 

If you are pairing a pocket with a TrackTrim and want to ensure the products are as close together as possible, you would want the NS pocket where the N-side of the pocket is facing the TrackTrim, which always has a 1" flange. This ensures the two products are as close together as they can be.

For Side Channel or Sil pockets, there is sometimes not enough depth for the additional flange, so an NN may be needed. 

When you order a Bundle from Blindspace for Window Modes, you will receive the pocket, the corresponding closure and the appropriate number of hinges all included within the given price. 

However, if you do not want the pre-assigned pocket/closure combination, you should order pockets and closures separately. Hinges will need to be purchased separately (1 hinge recommended per 12")

You are in luck, because Window Modes will fabricate mitered corners to your specification with the S Series pockets. See our S SERIES CORNERS section for all available options. You should know if you have an Inside or Outside Corner, and if your shade is a regular or reverse roll so we can properly cut the components.

If the S series (100x100mm or 130x130mm) pockets don't work for your application, such as skylights or dual roller shades, C-series is the perfect solution. They are available in ANY depth x height configuration and are easy to order. See our C Series Form for details and instructions on the information we need when ordering.

Your C Series Pocket will depend on the system you are ordering. You should know all the specs and dimensions of brackets, hem bars etc. from your fabricator. If you order your shades from Window Modes, we will ensure you receive all the correct S or C Series pockets for your application.

The great thing about C-Series is that you can create any combination of two flange types that you need for your project. You are not restricted by the SS, NS, or NN options for the S Series. Select any two options when ordering your C-series pockets:

S - Skim Coat Flange

U - Upstand Flange (5/8") 1/2" coming soon!

V - Visible Plain Flange

N - No Flange

Somfy Manual Tracks would require Somfy Fixing Brackets for installation. See our installation guides for details.

Yes! Just like you can curve Somfy Motorized Tracks, you can curve the manual ones as well. The standard curve radius for Somfy tracks that DO NOT require a separate template is 12"

Yes! TrackTrim is available in a variety of radius' to accommodate your curved tracks. Somfy Manual tracks could use the standard TTCR300 with a 12" radius

We recommend installing fixing brackets with a 9" spacing between them. Please order according to the finished length of your drapery track.

All TrackTrim needs to be securely mounted within the ceiling to support the weight of the draperies, so please ensure there is proper blocking. TrackTrim will need a 30mm recess. See RESOURCES for our pdf and cad drawings for exact dimensions

Draperies can be installed all the way to a wall so there may not be any space for a flange. Choose the flange or no flange option based on the space you will have on either end of your finished drapery track.

Lutron Standard Drapery Tracks will require a return end, motor end, and fixing brackets. We recommend spacing fixing brackets every 9". 

Tandem drapery tracks will require two return ends and two motor ends, so please specify your track configuration when ordering Blindspace.
